 ' Walk With a Scholar ' scheme,started in the year 2012, intent to arrange specialized  mentoring programmes for students in undergraduate programmes in Arts, Science and Commerce and to provide guidance for their future, The scheme introduces the idea of mentoring and builds on the concept of mentor as a 'guide' and 'friend'

       The scheme aims at giving necessary orientation to needy students, to prepare them for employment and given them necessary guidance, motivation and necessary mental support to identify appropriate areas for higher education as well as employment.

       30 Students from first year UG classes are selected and included in the scheme.They are divided into 5 groups of six scholars each. Each group is taken care by an internal mentor who is a faculty from the institution.Service of experts in various fields from outside the campus-external mentors-also is provided for enlightening and guiding the scholars.

      Presently two batches are enjoying the benefits of the scheme. Dr Riyas P, Assistant Professor of Mathematics is the present co-ordinator of the scheme.
